We all know the history of this station. We all know of the ups and downs and we've all been through them together so I'll make this short and to the point: Weymo and I have decided to shutdown the audio server. There are many reasons for this, more than I want to list actually, but I will say that neither Weymo nor I have the required time that it takes to devote to running this place properly. We've come to the conclusion that it takes time to build this station into what we both want it to be, and rather than letting it sit idle and eating deeper into our wallets, we'll shut down the audio server. When? 11:00 PM Eastern time tonight, September 2nd. Yes, I know, that's only a couple of hours away but like I said, time is something that we're both short on these days as we try to manage our personal and professional lives. We're not saying good-bye, we're just turning off the tunes. But we do want to say thank you, the loyal listeners over the years and a huge thanks to DaveH for getting the audio server and this station off the ground! And thanks to Bammers for keeping it going when DaveH retired! So where does that leave the station? Well, the good news is that (for now) the site and forum will remain the same. In fact, I've long considered adding a "Reviews" section to the forum, and this might be the perfect opportunity to do that. And there is a chance that the audio server will come back in the future because we haven't ruled that out completely. Jocks may even do shows from their own PCs in the future and when they do, they'll announce it with a newsletter. So continue visiting the forum and the site! We'll continue posting in the familiar Demented way that you're accustomed to. And continue supporting the music you love because that's what drew us here in the first place, right?  MGD King |
